This past summer we cleaned more homes in the Highlands at Mead and Liberty Ranch than in any previous year. A lot of those clients were new to professional cleaning service, and the first question every one of them asked was the same: what is this going to cost me? Fair question, and one that deserves a straight answer rather than a vague range.
Mead sits in a unique position along the Front Range. It is semi-rural, surrounded by agricultural land on WCR 5 and WCR 7, and the homes here tend to be newer builds with more square footage than what you find in older Denver suburbs. That combination, newer construction with more space and a dustier outdoor environment, shapes how we price and scope every visit. This post breaks down what house cleaning actually costs in Mead, what pushes that number up or down, what is included versus what costs extra, and when specific add-ons are worth paying for.
These are the actual price ranges we charge for Mead-area homes. They reflect the full scope of what each service type includes.
| Service Type | Home Size | Typical Price Range |
|---|---|---|
| First-time deep clean | 2 bed / 1 bath (~1,200 sq ft) | $200 to $260 |
| First-time deep clean | 3 bed / 2 bath (~1,800 sq ft) | $280 to $360 |
| First-time deep clean | 4 bed / 3 bath (~2,600 sq ft) | $360 to $460 |
| First-time deep clean | 5 bed / 3.5 bath (~3,400 sq ft) | $440 to $560 |
| Recurring (monthly) | 3 bed / 2 bath (~1,800 sq ft) | $195 to $245 |
| Recurring (bi-weekly) | 3 bed / 2 bath (~1,800 sq ft) | $155 to $195 |
| One-time clean (maintained home) | 3 bed / 2 bath (~1,800 sq ft) | $250 to $320 |
| Move-out clean | 3 bed / 2 bath (~1,800 sq ft) | $360 to $460 |
A few things worth noting here. First-time deep cleans cost more than recurring visits because the home is being brought to a clean baseline, not maintained from one. Move-out cleans run roughly 30 percent more than a standard deep clean because they include appliance interiors, thorough baseboard cleaning, and window tracks that vacancy cleaning requires. Recurring bi-weekly visits cost less per visit than monthly ones because the accumulation between visits is lower and the time required per pass is shorter.
For a broader look at how these numbers compare across the region, our post on house cleaning costs in Erie covers pricing for that neighboring community in similar detail. Erie and Mead share a lot of the same home profile, so that comparison is useful context.
No two homes price out the same, even at the same bedroom and bathroom count. These are the factors that shift a Mead home toward the higher or lower end of the ranges above.
Square footage and layout. A 4-bedroom home laid out across a single open floor plan with minimal closed-off rooms takes longer than a 4-bedroom home with separated spaces. More continuous floor surface means more vacuuming and mopping time. More connected surface area means contamination from one zone travels to adjacent ones if the cleaning sequence is not deliberate.
Current condition. A home that has had professional cleaning within the past 6 to 8 weeks requires less time than one that has not been thoroughly cleaned in months. Accumulated grease on range hoods, hard water mineral buildup on shower glass, and deferred baseboard cleaning all add time to a visit. The first visit on a home in below-maintenance condition lands at the top of the price range for its size category. After that initial deep clean, recurring visits maintain the baseline and cost less.
Pets. Homes with dogs take roughly 20 percent more time than comparable homes without pets, because pet dander settles on every upholstered surface, fur embeds into carpet fibers, and high-contact areas like dog beds and nearby flooring require additional attention. Cat homes add about 10 percent more time, mostly from litter tracking and dander on furniture. If you have multiple pets, that factor compounds. We do not charge a separate pet fee, but pet presence is part of how we scope the visit time and price a quote.
Unfinished or finished basement. Many newer Mead builds in Highlands at Mead and Mead Ranches come with large unfinished basements that owners finish over time. A finished basement with bedrooms, a bathroom, and a living area is treated as additional square footage. An unfinished basement is generally not part of the cleaning scope unless specifically requested.
Proximity to agricultural land. Mead sits east of the Foothills on open plains with active farmland on multiple sides. The fine particulate that blows off those fields, particularly in spring and early fall when fields are tilled or harvested, settles into homes faster than in more sheltered suburban locations. Our post on how Mead's open farmland affects your home goes into detail on why that particulate behaves differently than typical household dust. Homes on the eastern perimeter of Liberty Ranch, where the lot backs to open farm ground, tend to need more attention on horizontal surfaces and HVAC returns than homes on the western side of the development.
Frequency. The more often we clean, the less each visit costs. Bi-weekly visits maintain a cleaner home with less work per visit than monthly visits. Monthly visits require more time per pass because of greater accumulation. For a direct comparison of the cost economics across visit frequencies, our post on recurring cleaning versus a one-time deep clean lays out the numbers plainly.
Every visit, whether it is a first-time deep clean or a recurring visit, covers the same core scope. Here is what that includes.
Bathrooms: toilet (inside and out), sink, countertop, mirror, tub or shower walls and floor, fixtures, and floor. Hard water mineral deposits on glass and chrome are addressed on deep cleans. Recurring visits maintain that baseline.
Kitchen: countertops, exterior faces of all appliances, stovetop grates and burners, sink basin, cabinet face wipe-down, exterior of the microwave including the vent, and floor. The range hood exterior is included. Interior of appliances is an add-on (see below).
Living areas and bedrooms: all flat surfaces dusted and wiped (shelving, nightstands, windowsills, furniture tops), mirrors cleaned, floors vacuumed and mopped as appropriate for the surface type, and baseboards spot-wiped. Full baseboard cleaning is included on deep cleans and rotated through rooms on recurring visits.
High surfaces: ceiling fan blades, light fixture exteriors, and reachable upper surfaces to approximately 10 feet. Extended-height work above 12 feet is scoped separately.
Trash: emptied and re-lined in every room.
The services page has the full scope listed by visit type if you want to compare exactly what each service level covers before booking.
Several services fall outside the standard visit scope and are available as add-ons. Here is what they cost and who should consider them.
Oven interior cleaning: $35 to $55. Built-up baked-on residue takes dedicated product contact time and a separate tool set. Worth it if you have not had the oven cleaned professionally in over a year, or if you cook frequently and notice smoke or odor during preheating. On a move-out clean, oven interior is always included.
Refrigerator interior cleaning: $35 to $55. Removed shelves, drawer pulls, and full interior wipe. Worth it if you are preparing for move-out, if you have had a spill that was not fully addressed, or if the refrigerator has not been cleared in 6 or more months.
Interior window glass: $5 to $10 per window. Full interior glass surface cleaned with a dedicated glass cleaner on fresh microfiber. Mead's agricultural dust and Colorado's roughly 330 sunny days per year make this one visible. Interior windows in south-facing rooms collect a dusty film that direct afternoon light shows clearly. Worth adding to a deep clean if window clarity matters to you or if you have guests coming.
Laundry (wash and fold or start and transfer): $20 to $40 per load. Some clients want linens washed during the visit. We can run a load and fold or transfer. Not standard but available on request at booking.
Garage floor sweep: $25 to $45. Mead's dusty environment means garage floors accumulate fine grit quickly, especially in homes near agricultural boundaries. A sweep and basic wipe of the garage entry area keeps that particulate from tracking back into the home between professional visits. Worth it for homes where the garage is the primary entry point.
Move-out package (full scope): priced as a separate service. Includes all of the above plus window tracks, interior of all cabinets and drawers, all appliance interiors, full baseboard cleaning throughout, and light switch and outlet plate detail cleaning. For help deciding whether a one-time deep clean or a recurring plan makes more financial sense for your Mead home specifically, our Mead house cleaning page outlines how we structure service in this area.
Mead homeowners have some specific situations that make certain add-ons more worth it than they would be for a home in a more sheltered suburb.
Interior window cleaning is worth adding on a seasonal basis, particularly in late spring after the April wind events push agricultural dust through the building envelope. Homes on WCR 5 and WCR 7 face open fields in multiple directions. The interior glass in those homes collects a visible particulate film faster than any other surface type, and a quarterly window add-on combined with your recurring visit keeps that under control without requiring a separate appointment.
Oven and refrigerator interior cleaning is worth scheduling once or twice a year for most households. We recommend pairing it with the first visit of fall and the first visit of spring. Fall matters because you are heading into the higher-oven-use holiday cooking season, and a clean oven before that period starts prevents smoke and odor during holiday roasting. Spring matters because winter cooking accumulation is at its peak.
For homes with dogs, the upholstery detail add-on (thorough vacuum pass on all upholstered surfaces including under cushions) is worth scheduling quarterly even if your recurring visits are bi-weekly. Bi-weekly vacuuming maintains the surface. A quarterly deep upholstery pass addresses the embedded dander and fur that surface maintenance does not fully capture.

For a broader look at how pricing works for larger homes across the region, our post on pricing for large homes in Erie and Broomfield covers what to expect when square footage pushes past 2,800 square feet, which applies to a significant portion of newer builds in Mead.
For most Mead homes, a first-time deep clean runs $280 to $460 for a 3- to 4-bedroom home depending on square footage, current condition, and whether pets are in the home. Recurring bi-weekly visits on a maintained 3-bedroom home typically run $155 to $195 per visit. Monthly visits run $195 to $245 on the same home because greater accumulation between visits requires more time per pass. Move-out cleans and one-time cleans on homes that have not been professionally cleaned recently land toward the higher end of the range for their size. The best way to get an exact number is to put your home details into the booking page or call us directly. We confirm pricing before any visit is scheduled.
Mead homes tend to be newer builds with more square footage than older suburban homes in densely developed communities. More square footage means more floor surface, more bathrooms, and more surface area to cover per visit. Mead also sits adjacent to active agricultural land on multiple sides, particularly along WCR 5 and WCR 7. Fine particulate from tilled fields and harvested crops settles on interior surfaces faster than in more sheltered suburban locations, which means cleaning takes more time to do thoroughly. Neither factor is dramatic on its own, but together they push Mead homes toward the higher end of the size-based price range when compared to a similar bedroom count in a more compact older neighborhood. Our post on how Mead's open farmland affects your home explains the dust dynamics in more detail.
A standard visit covers all bathrooms (toilet, sink, tub or shower, mirror, floor), the kitchen (countertops, appliance exteriors, stovetop, sink, cabinet faces, floor), all bedrooms and living areas (dusting all flat surfaces, vacuuming and mopping floors, baseboard spot-wiping), ceiling fans and reachable high surfaces, and trash emptied and re-lined in every room. Interior appliances (oven and refrigerator), interior window glass, laundry, and garage floor sweeps are add-ons priced separately. The Mead house cleaning page outlines how we structure visits specifically for homes in this area. On a first-time deep clean, baseboards throughout the home and detailed fixture cleaning are included in the base scope. On recurring visits, those surfaces rotate through on a schedule to maintain the baseline established at the first visit.
Yes, directly. Homes with dogs take roughly 20 percent more time than comparable homes without pets. That added time comes from dander on upholstered surfaces, fur embedded in carpet fibers, and the higher-contact areas around pet beds and feeding zones that need more attention. Cat homes add about 10 percent more time, primarily from litter tracking and dander accumulation on furniture. We do not charge a separate pet fee line item, but pet presence is a factor in how we scope visit time and set the price on the initial quote. Homes with multiple dogs, especially large breeds that shed heavily, may land at the top of the time range for their square footage. Letting us know about pets when you book ensures the quote reflects the actual scope rather than requiring an adjustment after the first visit.
The fastest way is to use the online booking page and enter your home's bedroom count, bathroom count, approximate square footage, and current condition. Note any pets and any add-ons you are considering. We confirm the price before any visit is scheduled, so there are no surprises on arrival day. If you prefer to talk it through first, you can reach us by phone during business hours and we will walk through the details together. Either way, we do not send anyone out without confirming the scope and price with you first. For homeowners in Highlands at Mead, Mead Ranches, or Liberty Ranch, the size and condition of the home are the two biggest variables in the quote. Giving us accurate information on both produces a number you can actually plan around.
If your Mead home is overdue for a proper deep clean or you are ready to get recurring service on the calendar, the Mead house cleaning page is a good starting point, and the booking page gets you a confirmed price fast. Put your details in and we will take it from there.
